Carly Ward-Popek, MPA

Carly Ward-Popek is the Global Engagement and Communications Manager for SkillsUSA Massachusetts. In this role, Carly works with the Digital Media Specialist managing SkillsUSA Massachusetts' social media accounts and works closely with the Executive Director managing SkillsUSA Massachusetts' various technology platforms. Prior to this role with SkillsUSA Massachusetts, Carly served as a member of the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Leadership Team and is a former state officer. Carly’s full-time career is working as the Membership Coordinator for the Women Presidents Organization (WPO). In this role, Carly serves as liaison between the organization and its members, responsible for all aspects of membership, and support for new members.

Carly graduated from Emmanuel College, Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Diplomacy and Security and a minor in Political Science. Following her passion for public service, Carly went on to earn her Master of Public Administration (MPA) with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis/Program Development from The University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT.

Carly also finds joy in the study of world languages earning a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification from The University of Utah and enjoys professional working proficiency in French and elementary proficiency in Spanish and Arabic.

In her leisure time, Carly enjoys baking, reading, swimming, international travel and sailing the waters of the Northern Atlantic aboard their sailboat “Seeker” with her husband, Jeff.
