Carol Olsen

Carol Olsen is the Computer Operations Manager for SkillsUSA Massachusetts.  In this role, Carol focuses on designing the printed materials related to conferences, the Advisor Handbook and State Technical Standards.  She organizes conference registration data for all participants, enters contest scores and helps with tabulation.  Carol retired in 2017 after 24 years as a Cape Cod Technical HS Graphic Arts teacher and SkillsUSA Advisor.  Her earlier teaching experience also included Cambridge Rindge and Latin HS, as well as Falmouth High School.  Prior to teaching, Carol worked at Cape Cod Printing, Patriot Press, and Cape Cod Life magazine, as a designer and desktop publisher for each agency.

Her drafting skills have also kept her busy, designing plans for clients who are renovating or constructing new homes.  Having her own woodshop has allowed her to fully design, renovate and remodel several of her own homes over the years. Carol hasn't really retired. When she's not working with students through SkillsUSA Massachusetts activities, she is working on client projects, building something in her woodshop, spending time with her granddaughters, or helping at her daughter's flower shop.

Carol graduated from Keene State College, Keene, NH with a Bachelor of Science in education focusing on industrial arts and visual communications.
