Leah Schneyer-VanZile
Leah Schneyer-VanZile is the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Western Region Vice President. As a SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Officer, she is a member of a team of incredibly passionate and committed students who have been elected to represent their peers at the state level. As the Western Region Vice President Leah is proud to represent the needs and interests of students from Western Massachusetts. Officers have extensive leadership training and a deep commitment to upholding the ideals of SkillsUSA and advocating for vocational education. They serve as examples of vocational excellence and ambassadors for the state association, leading and facilitating events and conferences, and promoting SkillsUSA to students, educators, industry partners, and government officials. Academically, Leah is a junior in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program at Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School with aspirations to become a pastry chef. Her certifications include, the SkillsUSA Framework, CTE Knowledge, and Communicating with Authenticity and Integrity certifications, as well as the OSHA-10 hour General Industry certification. She is in the process of acquiring her National Restaurant Association ProStart Certification. Outside of SkillsUSA, Leah is a seasoned member of Boston City Singer’s Tour Choir, a Girl Scout, and personal baker for her friends and family. Some of her favorite things include old movies about love, screaming her heart out at concerts, traveling as much as possible, and mashed potatoes with lots of butter.
